Navratri 2023: Make Bengali Mithai Sandesh To Sweeten The Festival

Welcome to Navratri 2023! Celebrate the festival with a traditional Bengali sweet, Sandesh. Let's learn how to make it at home.

First, gather the ingredients: 1 cup of paneer, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder, and a few strands of saffron.

In a pan, cook the paneer on low heat until it becomes crumbly. Then, add the powdered sugar and mix well.

Add the cardamom powder and saffron strands to the mixture. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.

Take the mixture off the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Then, knead it into a smooth dough.

Divide the dough into small balls and shape them into flat discs. You can also use a cookie cutter to make different shapes.

Place the Sandesh on a plate and refrigerate for 30 minutes. This will help them set and become firmer.

After 30 minutes, take out the Sandesh and garnish with chopped nuts or saffron strands. Your Bengali Mithai Sandesh is ready to be served!

Enjoy the sweet and creamy texture of Sandesh as you celebrate Navratri with your loved ones. Don't forget to share this recipe with them!
